A Tribute to Matt Clemens
Hello, and welcome to Matt Clemens' unofficial website. Matt is a marvelous, versatile actor who has been in numerous performances, which include Barber of Seville (Figaro), Forever Plaid (Sparky), and Twelfth Night (Sir Andrew). He is currently playing the role of Montparnasse in the Third National Tour of Les Miserables. Montparnasse is one of the members of Thenardier's street gang, Patron-Minette, and is described by Victor Hugo as "...a child, less than twenty, with a pretty face, lips like cherries, charming black hair, the glow of spring in his eyes...he was gamin turned hooligan, hooligan turned assassin." I personally think that Matt fit's Hugo's Montparnasse exactly (without the murderer component;-)), and does an excellent job in portraying him. The whole 3NT is made up of sheer brilliance - to say that they are "magnificent" would be a complete understatement, almost insulting. They go beyond words to act out the story we know and love as Les Miserables. Go and see Matt along with the rest of the Third National Tour when it comes to your town - I guarantee you won't regret it.
"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise."
The Ever-Present tinytinytiny Print: This web site was made out of sheer adoration and admiration toward Matt Clemens, and is an unofficial fan site. I am not affiliated with Cameron Mackintosh, Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Shonberg, nor do I own Les Miserables (which should be a bit obvious ::grin::). Matt does know of this site, and to my knowledge, enjoys it. If anyone is offended by any of the content, please let me know and I will do my best to change and/or remove it.
